Sophie Needelman is an artist, educator, and writer who is passionate about making meaning of the world around her. Since 2018, she has helped hundreds of Thought-Leaders identify value in their experiences, and then communicate that value to their audiences with clarity and creativity. She coaches both novice and veteran public speakers on pitching, writing, and delivering keynote speeches and TEDx talks rooted in their passion and purpose. Sophie develops curriculum and immersive educational experiences rooted in self-reflection and connection to community, and supports change-makers articulate their messages through a collaborative writing, ghostwriting, and editing process.
Sophie graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of California, Berkeley with dual Bachelors of Arts degrees in Rhetoric, and Dance and Performance Studies. She began her artistic journey as a modern dancer and choreographer, directing her own company The Defiance Project from 2010-2015. Beyond theatrical and live performance, she has explored various artistic media including creative writing, fashion design, and fiber arts. Regardless of the creative context, she enjoys collaborating with other creators to identify patterns, craft through-lines, and extract universal lessons out of personal stories.
